The beat goes on.
319.4 This blog is about failures as much as successes. Yesterday I was away from home for much of the afternoon and evening. I failed to put any snacks in the car, so of course I started getting VERY hungry. At about 7pm I stopped at Publix and bought a can of almonds, but because I was aleady in hunger mode I ate WAY too many of them. Then when I got home I had a late dinner besides ( steak AND an Isabar AND more almonds), since I was now in “hunger-eating” mode. So I really short-circuited the second day of cleansing by 1/3 of a day and a huge meal. Between the last sentence and this one I put a jar of snacks in the car. That was one of my big “good things” from my last cleansing experience, so I hopefully will not have any more moments of weakness like this one now that snacks will always be close at hand. I also left the can of almonds in there, but they should probably come in the house. I have found in the past that I can’t just eat a few, so they are not a good addition to my program.
I should have been more prepared. The second cleansing day is always a bit tough on me, and is the only time in the program I feel any hunger. Next week I will have snacks close at hand. Lunch today was a 6oz steak and a half bag of cauliflowers.
